A couple annoying things for me: (1) the first guide is REALLY far up the blank (I know Dobyns did this on purpose)
It gives you baitcaster control with lighter baits, which can be great for creeks, smallmouth, pressured ponds, clear water, and smaller bass presentations
Also great for tubes- short shank and straight eye ideal for most tube patterns
On a jig it does something better still: tension the fall and the jig hangs vertical instead of planing away, so it gets down faster and stays in the zone you meant to fish
